Get Best Free website malware protection with cpanel hosting

The benefit of shared hosting is that you can keep many accounts (website) under one server and host many websites for a small price.
This is often used by many web hosting service providers to get all of their clients online without paying large sums of money (Including Netspace).
This is not a bad practice in fact this is a WIN-WIN situation for everyone.
However, “a chain is only as strong as its weakest link”: even a single bad plugin or weak password by any customer could be enough for bad people (commonly known as hackers) to get into one website and then all the other websites on the same hosting account if the shared hosting server is not architected properly.
To protect, Netspace Linux shared hosting customers from affected neighboring websites hosted on the same server we use Cloud Linux technology to keep all customer’s websites isolated from each other and imunify360 to give protection against Malware.
To learn more about types of malware, I will recommend you go through our previous post: Types of Malware

Finding a malware on your website
One fine day, you get a call from your customer saying that your website is hacked / down and you desperately open your laptop to see an error warning saying: Deceptive site ahead warning on your chrome browser.

This warning message is shown by chrome if your website is affected by any type of malware or virus.
For instance, an attacker can exploit your websites and send/ upload malware which later steals data stored on the server where all your websites are located. And many times compromised privacy can affect your shared hosting website and privacy policies. This only means you are served with fake pages or images where you’re tricked to share your credential information.
If you suspect that your website may be infected with malware, it’s important to take immediate action to address the issue. Here are some steps you can take:
Confirm the presence of malware: Use a website scanner, such as Google’s Safe Browsing service, to check if your website is indeed infected with malware. This service will also provide you with details on the type of malware found and the specific files that are affected.
Isolate the infected files: Once you have identified the specific files that are infected, you should move them to a separate location to prevent them from further infecting other files on your website.
Clean the infected files: Use a malware scanner, such as Sucuri or Anti-Malware, to scan and clean the infected files.
Take preventive measures: You can also prevent malware infection by keeping all your software and plugins up to date, regularly running malware scans, and implementing a web application firewall (WAF)
Check your logs: checking the logs and network traffic can give you insight about how the malware was able to penetrate your website
Notify your visitors: if your visitors may have been affected by the malware, inform them that you have taken steps to resolve the issue and advise them to update their anti-virus software.
It’s important to keep in mind that even if you think you’ve successfully removed the malware, it’s possible that your website has been compromised in some way, so it’s a good idea to continue to monitor your website for any suspicious activity. And also if the problem is severe consider hiring an expert to help you.
This could be a nightmare for your website. However, Netspace India customers are protected by this.
What to do next?
Because As malware removal is difficult, you need to act fast, deep scan your website and be 100% sure about the malware.

Anything can be hacked which is hosted on the internet but, everything is safe until you practice preventive measures. Speaking about shared hosting, the higher the compromises, the higher is the risks, as many websites are hosted under one server, making the server a target for vulnerability. As in a shared hosting environment, all the hosted sites share the server resources. Malware infecting the server can infect multiple websites hosted on that server.
