AAAA Record Lookup
Find the IPv6 address that any domain name resolves to.
What is a AAAA record?
An AAAA record (pronounced "quad-A") maps a domain to an IPv6 address — a 128-bit identifier written as eight groups of hexadecimal digits, like 2606:2800:220:1:248:1893:25c8:1946. It's the IPv6 counterpart to the classic A record.
With IPv4 addresses exhausted, more and more infrastructure is dual-stacked (A + AAAA). Looking up a domain's AAAA record tells you whether it's IPv6-ready. For modern IPv6-ready infrastructure, Netspace India's cloud hosting plans ship with dual-stack IPv4+IPv6 out of the box.
Common uses
- Verify your domain's IPv6 configuration
- Debug IPv6-only networks (common in corporate / mobile carriers)
- Confirm an IPv6 address change has published
- Audit whether a site is IPv6-ready
